Below are the major courses of study available from the Payments University. Click on “show all” or “show courses” to see what specific topics are offered in each major. For a more detailed description, including time and locations, click on the course name. You’ll be able to register from the course description – by clicking to add them to a “cart” and you can “check out” at any time.

Payments University Online Courses
This is your opportunity to receive training at a time that best fits your schedule. Online courses are pre-recorded topics that are divdied into one or more 20-35 minute modules. If you only have time for one part today, no problem. Take part two at your convenience. Your registration is good for three months with unlimited times to take the course during that period. Prior to registering for an Online course, you will need to set yourself up as a Member on the Payments University site. On the front page of the site, please click on "Members" in order to do this. Then you can proceed to registration for an online course, where you will receive an email once your registration is approved, and then you are off and running!

ACH Track
The ACH Track is comprised of core courses covering the basics of ACH processing and navigating the ACH Rule Book to the more advanced topics of ACH: Origination and Compliance. Also included in this track are ACH technical specifications, Standard Entry Class Codes, Rules Compliance Audits, Agreements, Return Codes/NOCs and ACH News Briefs to keep you up-to-date.

Risk and Regulatory Track
The Risk and Regulatory track courses are desgined to assist payments professionals in identifying risk and regulatory issues that must be addressed when offering , processing or handling electronic payments. Topics include Understanding ACH Origination Risk, the ACH Risk Assessment, and a number of regulatory topics that look at OFAC/BSA, Regulation E, UCC 4A and more.

Government Track
All ACH Payments are not the same. In the Government Payments Track, ACH Government payment-related topics are examined. Topics include exception handling for Government Entries, Understanding Government Reclamations and a look at both the SSA and the FMS.

Global Track
Global payments are a fast-growing segment of the industry. These courses introduce professionals to payment mechanisms that can be used to move the U.S. dollar abroad. Participants will find courses on the U.S. dollar wire systems, CHIPS and Fedwire, which also help to arm your corporate customers with global payments information and instructions.

AAP Track
The Payments University offers comprehensive training to assist professionals in preparing to sit for the Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) Exam. It is offered as a two-day in-person course or an eight-part webinar series, each webinar lasting for two hours. In addition, the Payments University offers a free introduction webinar to provide you information about the AAP exam. Also offered in this track is our AAP University - specifically designed for AAPs. It contains advanced training experience allowing AAPs to gain 18 continuing education credits.

Lunch Bag Webinars
Lunch Bag Webinars are 30-minute training sessions held once a month that give you the knowledge you need without taking you away from your work. There is no down time - simply bring your lunch along and learn while you eat. A variety of subjects wiil be taught from basics to timely hot topics. You may register for one Lunch Bag Webinar at a time, or register for three in a row at a discounted price. Announcements about these webinars will be made via email and on the Payments University website.

Education Club
The Payments University is pleased to announce a pre-paid training program for 2012. This program is designed to offer the convenience and cost savings of making a one-time payment for Payments University training options in one calendar year. Participation in this program entitles the member financial institution to 4 Education Points for each membership purchased. These points may be used by any employee of that financial instiutions to attend a variety of workshops and webinars. Participants may choose from full-day workshops or two-part webinars which are assessed one point each, or one-session webinars which are assessed one-half point each. Membership price is $880.00, which is up to a $1,320.00 value.

ACH Jump Start Program
The Payments University's ACH Jump Start Program (formerly known as ACH Certification) offers TCH Payments Association members the opportunity to expand their knowledge of electronic payments and demonstrate their commitment to professional development. The time frame for this program completion is two years but if you want to get up to speed very quickly - you can. This program is recommended for those with some or no previous ACH experience, and can be used as a precursor to AAP certification. An ACH Jump Start Program certificate will be issued upon completion.

National Check Payments Certification Preparation
The Payments University is offering the 2012 National Check Payments Certification Preparation training this year as the preparation needed prior to taking the National Check Professional (NCP) Exam during the time period of April 21-May 12, 2012. An NCP designation recognizes professional who have successfully proven a certain level of understanding of the current check payments landscape. This designation will set you apart by: * Recognizing your knowledge and comprehension of check payments * Strengthening our professional credibility * Demonstrating your commitment to customer service * Demonstrating your commitment to be on the leading edge of industry trends * Positioning you for professional advancement

Card Track
Financial institutions have an interest in correctly interpreting and complying with Regulation E requirements regarding error resolution associated with debit card transactions, as well as a desire to learn what new functions and capabilities are now being offered to ATM cardholders. The webinars offered in this track offer detailed insights into these issues.
